How to Choose the Right One

• 0.22 µm membrane: use for sterile filtration where bacterial removal is required (most cell culture and microbiology applications).
• 0.45 µm membrane: use for general clarification and particulate removal where sterility is not the primary goal.
• PES membranes: low protein-binding, ideal for protein-containing solutions like media and serum.
• Funnel capacity: match to your batch volume — oversized funnels waste filter membrane area; undersized funnels require multiple filtration cycles.
