Glass Pipettes

Borosil brand Pipettes are made of specially-selected heavy wall machine-drawn borosilicate accurate bore glass tubing. They have precision formed jets, and bevel ground ends that resist chipping. The graduation marks are made in durable white enamel or amber stain, resistant to normal laboratory reagents and repeated washing. All the Pipettes are individually measured, and then marked. The uniformity of bore ensures accuracy between any two readings. The Pipettes can be autoclaved and, if necessary, can be flamed for sterilisation.

All Borosil Pipettes are colour-coded at the top in accordance with ISO Standards, to facilitate easy identification. The graduation marks are screen printed. The mouth piece of Pipettes of 5 ml and above are tooled with uniform OD for easy sucking. Such tooling also imparts additional strength. Borosil brand Pipettes are truly dependable in terms of their accuracy. They are available in both, Class A with Works Certificate as well as Class B tolerances.

Porous barrier filters in Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE),  block aerosols by coalescing radio-active, chemical, or biological contaminants before they can come in contact with pipettor shafts, and effectively eliminate unwanted signals induced by residual RNA/DNA transferred in trace amounts by aerosol cross-contamination. The filter is completely inert and consistent in porosity – 20 micron allows the air to pass through, but not any aqueous solutions. It also acts as a safety-barrier against accidental over-pipetting of liquid without risk of sample lock-up – this allows samples to be recovered. CMC-free, non-reactive barriers are manufactured without surfactants, or other extractable components, to precise air-flow standards.
